Euphoric, happy and tensed

I never thought becoming MOM is such a big thing, my mind is preoccupied with so many things like how will my baby be, what about his health and so on. Sometimes I am very happy and sometimes a little gloomy. I think these are normal mood swings. Also, I miss my family as I don't live with either set of parents.

Next month I'll be going for my Ultrasound, which is very crucial as per my Doctor. Wish me and my baby good luck!

On embracing motherhood!

This news, as always come a little late on my blog....I am going to be a mom! My second trimester is on and I already feel so tired when I come back from the office. My backache accompanied with a little headache makes it more tough sometimes.

As of now I am reading What To Expect When You Are Expecting, it's a real good book, a must read for new moms.

Also, I came across this site 3dpregnancy, that tells you about week by week pregnancy progress including approx. weight of the baby, length of the baby, changes in the mother's body etc.

So many inputs from all the family members, friends and colleagues, that I just fail to understand whether I am pregnant or they are. The best thing about this period the attention I get! Yeh, that's right, at this very moment, I am enjoying the attention I get.
Will post more as the time progresses.

Bombay Trip

I know my posts come a little late..... every time :P

Ok, we went to Bombay last year on Dec 25, 07 and came back on Dec 30, 07. We went to meet some of our relatives and it was long overdue. While going to Bombay, the journey was good but tiring at the same time. But, while coming back the journey was bad, because of my nose. Yep, I got cold. The temperature in Bombay was real good, not hot at all.

I really enjoyed the weather. Here in North India, we are freezing. The temperature dropped down to zero degree.

When in Bombay, we went for some sightseeing- Marine Drive, Gateway of India, Beaches, Andheri etc.
Before I forget, we also lunched at THE TENDULKAR's- A Multi-cuisine Restaurant. The food is good and they also have the paper coasters, which have some lines printed about Sachin Tendulkar. Then there is a Bar adjoining the food area. The interiors are superb. The kiddie meal says,

Name of the pizza
"Arjun loves it" and

Name of the pizza
"Sarah loves it

Sorry I forgot the name of the dishes which support these lines. This is what the menu says about Sachin Tendulkar's Restaurant
"Almost every aspect of the restaurant has been selected by him ". The Restaurant's seating, and lighting is all blue. As I said the interiors are just too fascinating. It's a must try if you visit Bombay. The Restaurant has it's branch in Bangalore too by the name of Sachin's.

On the enterance wall, there is a collection of cricket balls and some of the balls are signed by famous crickters. The wall also adorns a t-shirt, signed by Indian cricketers. A must go place in Colaba, near Gateway of India.

Remembering my school days

My school was fun, whose isn't? Right?
Mine was a Christian school n we had prayer every morning accompanied by some news reading n story telling. It was too boring as irrespective of the weather we had to stand in the sun n listen to the NEWS stuff. Also, after the school assembly we had nail checking n if the nail were not cut we were punished n allowed to go after a warning. It was boring then but when I think of my school now it brings smile on my face :D

Everyday one class was selected for the prayer n news reading. One day it was my class's turn n I was selected to say the story. Ok, the story was about these 2 frogs who fall into a bucket of cream n they are not able not able to find a way out, one of the frog gives up n the other keeps on trying hard to swim up until finally the cream turns to butter n the frog comes up alive.

MORAL OF THE STORY: DON'T GIVE UP, KEEP TRYING HARD TILL U SUCCEED.

Finally, the day came n I had to say the story, imagine a class 9th student (that's was me at that time) forgot the story, fumbled in between n came back.

That was a bad experience indeed.

But, the next time I again volunteered from the class n this time I read a verse from the BIBLE without fumbling. My teachers were happy n wen I came back to the class my Vice Principal lauded my effort n patted my back.

There r so many other memories of my school that I wish to go back n live them again.

34, Chowrangi Lane, Delhi

34, Chowrangi Lane, near Venkateshwara College in Delhi is the place for gr8 kathi rolls. Last time I blogged about The Big Chill, this time it's Chowrangi Lane and Rajinder da Dhaba (i m not sure where this place is but its somewhere near South Extension).

Rajinder da Dhaba, serves you kathi rolls in rumali roti whereas Chowrangi Lane's rolls are normal parantha rolls. The filling in the rolls, of both these places is good enuf to feed ur hungry tummy. Make sure u try these 2 places when in Delhi. And YES, they r economical :) Very typical street food with some gr8 mouth watering kathi rolls, available in many types: single egg roll, double egg roll, single egg double chicken roll, double egg double chicken roll, veggie roll, etc.

How do I come to know abt these amazing places, well, its all in the TIMES FOOD GUIDE, 2007. If one is willing to try good food, don't wait, just pick up the GUIDE n there u r, with some gr8 info.

Also, Thanks to my hubby's cousin, who guides us abt these places. Thanks!

Some good places to eat in Delhi

Me n my hubby are generally busy on weekdays coz v both r working. that leaves us wid no time for each other, well in terms of hanging out together, when I don't have to cook ;) So, we came up wid Delhi Darshan. Well, DD means going to famous n known places of Delhi. Isn't it good?

Past few weeks v have been visiting Delhi's known markets in search of some good food. Believe me , Delhi has some real good places to eat. This time v visited Khan Market. After reaching there v started searching for BIG CHILL- An Italian Restaurant. The food in Big Chill is simply amazing, here this is what v ordered:
  1. Chikonara Pizza
  2. Fusilli Chicken Piri Piri and
  3. Ginger Fizz
I wanted to try a dessert too bit was so filled that cud not even think of ordering something else.
The second in list is a chicken pasta cooked in tomato sauce n cheese.

Oh yes, the ambiance, n the walls of the restaurant are equally good. U may ask , what has walls to do wid the food? The walls of the restaurant are adorned with old hollywood classical movie posters. They make up for an excellent read during the meal.

Some other places that v visited past few weeks include Defence Colony market, Greater Kailash, Part one n two.

If in Delhi make sure u visit these markets, will update my blog if I visit some other good markets or places. Chao
