Breast Cancer

One only comes to know "more" about a disease or a situation when one comes across it. Somebody very close to me has Breast Cancer and I can't stop thinking about it. Although I haven't told many ppl about who that person is but it I just wake up during the night thinking about the C word. I never thought it cud happen to her. When I first came to know about it I searched Wiki for more info., googled about it and taking to my hubby about it.

There is very little I can do but I talk to her, listen to her and try to understand how she feels about it. Her biggest fear is undergoing chemotherapy which results in loss of hair and other side effects.

oh, very sad to hear that. Yes you can be a best support by listening to her and supporting her with the future decisions.

i completely agree with you when you say "One only comes to know "more" about a disease or a situation when one comes across it".

The pain can be felt only by the sufferer. We can only sympathize. The best part is what you are doing now, keep talking to them. Keep it up.

Came to your blog through Ajeya. Hope to keep following.
